Collection: The Gooch Coverlet

The Gooch Coverlet by Judy Newman and Margaret Mew

The Quilters' Guild of the British Isles has again generously given us permission to produce a range from an important coverlet in their collection, The Gooch Coverlet. The quilt originates from Suffolk and was made by the Gooch Family members. It consists of mosaic patchwork and figurative motifs set into the background fabric using the inlaid patchwork technique and set in a frame layout.

We have long had an appreciation for vintage fabrics and Antique Quilts, and we have delighted in the process of bringing these beautiful Georgian prints and colours alive again for today’s quilters.
